| COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE GUIDELINES and PROCEDURES |
| The following guidelines and procedures were developed and approved by the Communications Committee of the Parker County Republican Party for the purpose of informing and instructing users of this web site. |
Web Site Guidelines
- The Parker County Republican Party Web Site ("Web Site") is intended to provide the citizens of Parker County, Texas, with information regarding their local Republican Party and local Republican candidates and officials as well as links to the State and National Party.
- Links or news items of Local, State, and National Republican interest may be included on the Web Site.
- The Web Site will not be a forum for opinions or favor any Republican candidate or Party member over any other.
- Items appearing on pages of the Web Site will be grouped as Local, State, and National and listed from the top of the page in that order. (This is so attention will be drawn to the local items.)
- Other items will be listed in ascending alphabetic or ascending numerical order from the top of the page. For items including a name and a title, the title will be used for the sort.
- News items will be listed in reverse chronological order from the top of the page. (This is so attention will be drawn to the newest items.)
- News items on the Home page may be truncated to keep the Home page length under control. All details will appear on the News page.
- News items may be grouped into monthly or yearly archives to keep the News page length under control.
- Calendar items will be listed in chronological order and will be removed after the event has passed.
- Candidates or candidate committees must submit a request to include their link on the Election Central page.
- Candidate links will be removed from the page after each election.
- A new Candidate link request must be made before each election, including runoff elections.
- The webmaster may make changes to the Web Site at any time to correct typographical or page layout errors.
- All other changes to the Web Site will be handled according to the Change Process (see below).

Web Site Change Process
- Changes to the Web Site can be proposed by anyone.
- Proposed changes must be submitted in email form to the Communications Committee (CC) at comcom@parkertxgop.org. (The email server automatically forwards these messages to all members of the CC simultaneously.) Changes submitted in any other form or to any other email address may not receive any action.
- The CC members discuss and evaluate the proposed changes according to the Web Site Guidelines (see above).
- A quorum of the CC members vote to accept or reject the proposed changes. If a simple majority of the members vote to accept, the change will be made. If the vote is to reject, the change will not be made.
- If the vote is a tie, and the CC determines that it cannot decide, the CC Chair will ask the Executive Committee Chair to evaluate the change against the Guidelines and cast the deciding vote.
- Once accepted, the webmaster will make the change.
- As a courtesy, the webmaster may notify the original submitter of the decision of the CC.
